Did you know that traffic collisions are the leading cause of death for young people in the U.S.? Sadly, more than fourteen deaths per day occur on the roadways in the U.S.; that is more that the number of deaths by murder, suicide and cancer combined. Be a good role model for your teen driver by setting a good example. Have your teen sign a contract that he or she promises to abide by the rules of the road and promises to practice defensive driving skills. Tell your teen to not to text or talk while driving and be sure the check your city or towns local laws, as some prohibit texting while driving. Always remind your teen to buckle up and be safe on the road!
