Distracted Driving

Crashes among young drivers are more common than any other age group.  Currently in Arizona, there is no legislation banning texting while driving or talking on cell phones while driving.  According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 5,500 people were killed in distracted-driving-related motor vehicle accidents in 2009 and almost half a million people were injured in these accidents.  Be a proactive parent and talk to your teenage driver(s) about the dangers of distracted driving, set a good example for your teens by not using your cell phone while driving, or even have your teen driver sign a pledge to wear seat belts while driving, not drive under the influence or use cell phones behind the wheel.  Following these simple tips can help save lives and prevent accidents.  If you happen to be injured in a motor vehicle accident, call Bache & Lynch today at (520) 293-5300 for a free consultation.
