Reese Witherspoon Struck by Car

Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon was struck by an elderly driver while jogging in Santa Monica.  Witherspoon was treated at a local Santa Monica hospital for minor injuries and released.  The adverse driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and was ordered to re-take her driver’s license test.   Arizona law requires driver’s to update their photos every 12 years and driver’s over age 65 to renew their licenses every 5 years and pass a vision screening test (Arizona driver’s licenses are valid until age 65).  Remember that pedestrians have the right of way and to always use caution when approaching and intersection or crosswalk.  Stay alert and be safe!
