It’s that time of year again, the holiday season is in full swing!  Every year hundreds of people fall for improper use of ladders.  Last year, over 13,000 people were injured nationwide while hanging holiday decorations, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.  Follow these tips to avoid an unnecessary trip to the emergency room this year:

1. Always select the correct ladder for the job: one that extends at least 3 feet over the roofline or working surface.

2. Always place your ladder on level, firm ground.

3. Check the ladder’s maximum load rating to make sure the ladder will support your weight & the load you are putting on it.

4. Have a helper hold the bottom of the ladder for extra support.
