Buckle Up

All too often, traffic fatalities occur.  Recently, a 27- year-old Phoenix resident was ejected from his vehicle on I-10 in Avondale; he was not wearing his seat belt.  According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, every hour someone loses their life in America simply because their seat belt was not buckled.  Not buckling up contributes to more fatalities that any other single traffic safety-related behavior.  Seat belts are the most effective safety devices in cars today.  If 90% of Americans buckle up, we could prevent more than 5,500 deaths and 132,000 injuries annually!  Be smart and make sure every time you get in your car, you and all of your passengers are safely restrained.
