Ford Recalls 450,000 Minivans and SUVs

Ford is recalling the popular Escape SUV because it has a reservoir cap that may leak brake fluid and cause a fire. The Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans are being recalled over a torque converter output shaft that may fail, causing the a cars to lose power and crash. Several minor accidents were reported and, luckily, in only one accident were there minor injuries. Consumers who drive any of the vehicles mentioned above should watch out for any notices from Ford. Recall notices are expected to be sent out late January.
