Ford Recalls 450,000 Minivans and SUVs

Ford is recalling the popular Escape SUV because it has a reservoir cap that may leak brake fluid and cause a fire. The Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans are being recalled over a torque converter output shaft that may fail, causing the a cars to lose power and crash. Several minor accidents were reported and, luckily, in only one accident were there minor injuries. Consumers who drive any of the vehicles mentioned above should watch out for any notices from Ford. Cold Weather & Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

It's that time of year where your heater is on and you're snuggled up in a blanket in front of the TV. But did you know your heater may be a source of carbon monoxide(CO) poisoning?  Depending on the source, CO poisoning deaths account for somewhere between 200 and 700 deaths per year in the U.S. and for every death, approximately 5 more people will end up in the hospital with CO related injuries.
