New Year’s Eve Fireworks

All over town, you might notice more stores selling fireworks in anticipation of New Year's Eve.  It is legal to purchase fireworks, but it may be illegal to use them. Ford & Mercury Recall

Earlier this month Ford announced that it is recalling over 100,00 Fusions and Mercury Milan sedans because of concerns that the wheels may fall off certain models. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, certain  2010 and 2011 Ford Fusions and Mercury Milans have "wheel studs that may fracture, potentially causing a wheel to separate, increasing the risk of a crash." Has your loved ever been a resident of Desert Life Rehabilitation & Care or Villa Campana Health Care(now known as Kindred Care)?  These facilities have been cited with multiple deficiencies including: failure to make sure that each resident's nutritional needs were met, failure to give each resident care and services to get the or keep the highest quality of life and failure to have a program to keep infection from spreading. According to the Arizona Daily Star, last summer Kindred Healthcare facilities in Tucson were ordered to pay almost $15,000 in fines for some of these infractions.

CPR Saves 1 Year Old Boy

An 11-year-old girl from Queen Creek saved her baby brother's life when she noticed he was choking, she immediately rushed to his aid.  Thankfully, she used the skills she had learned from a class called "Safe Babysitters."  To learn more information about the important life-saving class by calling  602-230-CARE.
